Custom Threads & Sports has been a Lake Orion based business and a proud supporter of the Lake Orion Community for over 15 Years. A significant portion of our focus and our business is locally based with Lake Orion Schools and Teams which is why we do our best to support our customer’s interests by giving back a portion of those sales to the Lake Orion Community.

As a result of the support that we receive from the Lake Orion Community we are able to give back in excess of $10,000 / year to the Lake Orion Schools through various Scholarships, Spirit Wear Commissions, Donations and Advertising.

While Athletics and School PTO Programs have certainly been an area of Focus, we also are proud of our association with the Lake Orion High School Store and the DECA Program which provides educational and competitive opportunities for those Students interested in Sales and Marketing, Finance and Entrepreneurial careers. We support these programs through providing consignment good inventories for the school store as well as using our on line platform to partner with the Marketing Students in various fundraising programs.

Our latest community partnership is with the Lake Orion School District’s Central Administration. In this endeavor Custom Threads & Sports has committed to providing the District with a 10% commission on all sales from our On Line Community Store. We have requested that these funds go towards supporting Lake Orion School Programs that might otherwise be cut based on District Budget decisions.

So, when you make a purchase from the Lake Orion Community Store on the Custom Threads & Sports web store, you are making funds available to the District for use in the Schools.

Above: Custom Threads & Sports, a long time local supplier of Lake Orion-branded apparel to school athletic programs and the community, recently provided a grant to the Lake Orion High School DECA team of students interested in sales and marketing careers. According to Custom Threads' President Mark McCord, the donation was made in recognition of the successful partnership between his business and the school district to provide goods for the high school's student run store and Lake Orion's web based spirit wear outlet.
